Tylö, the sauna manufacturer, has been partnering with the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden for many years.
It has become a tradition each year to carve a full-size sauna heater from one block of ice.
The sauna experience has now been taken to the next level.
Tylö has created mini SPAs for two of the hotel’s most luxurious suites to make overnight stays even more special for guests.
Complete sauna systems have been successfully installed into the ice, without melting the hotel, by constructing specially insulated containers that have been cast into the ice structure of the hotel.
A Tylö Impression i170 steam shower cabin and a Tylö Impression i1115 sauna have been installed in one of the hotel suites and, in the other, an Impression Twin offers a steam bath and traditional dry sauna in one.
